The Central Coast
Roughly half the New South Wales images come from the ninety kilometres between Norah Head and Maitland Bay. Terrigal alone accounts for more than a dozen, including The Skillion, Terrigal, NSW and Sea Pool Terrigal Beach, NSW. These were made close to home and returned to repeatedly, which is why the same headland appears under so many different conditions.
Sydney and the northern beaches
The harbour images are city photographs rather than landscape ones. Sydney Opera House at Daybreak, NSW and Morning Light, Sydney Harbour, NSW both work the water as a mirror. North of the bridge the collection turns coastal again through Barrenjoey Lighthouse, Palm Beach, NSW and Sunrise, Turimetta Beach, NSW.
The mountains and the tablelands

The far west
Past the Great Dividing Range the palette changes completely. On the Road to Gundagai, NSW, Nulla Shearing Shed, Wentworth, NSW and Golden Days Hill End, NSW belong to the pastoral and mining country rather than the coast, and they hang very differently. Warm ochres and hard midday light instead of blue water.
