Ken Duncan Panoramic Print
Havasu Falls, Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA
SKU AZX353 · Edition of 2000
The veil-like Havasu Falls plunge over a moonscape of rocks in the lower Grand Canyon. Here, the high mineral content of the water has created fantastic patterns on the cliff-face, like frozen cataracts sculpted in the stone. We spent three winter days enjoying this area. Although other visitors occasionally turned up (and then left again) we were the only ones who stayed and camped. How important it is to spend enough time in a place to truly begin to feel its character. As this shot shows, once the right light had arrived, our reward was a scene filled with the subtleties of texture and colour.
