Description
With only rocks, grass tussocks and button wildflowers for company, Craigs Hut looks out in every direction across hundreds of kilometres of solitary wilderness. Built for the film The Man from Snowy River, this replica of an early settlers slab hut stands today as a memorial to the high country men and women whose fierce love for the land taught them they could respect it and work it but never tame it. There is a lot we can still learn from them today.
