Lavender has many wonderful properties apart from looking beautiful. One of its reputed benefits is its ability to calm people and help to induce sleep. I can attest to its calming qualities, as I spent hours in these beautiful fields waiting for the right light. As the scent of the fresh lavender permeated my senses in the most pleasant way, I was serenely relaxed. This French lavender is grown in the lush Tasmanian countryside. I love the way the rows of flowers lead off into the distance. They help create depth in the image to draw you in towards the drama unfolding in the sky. It was a dreamy experience for me just capturing this image. That s why I've called it Field of Dreams.
