Ken’s local knowledge of the area and its people was exceptional, and was the difference between a photographic expedition and just another tour of the outback. Ken ensured we were always comfortable with our setup and composition, and continually encouraged us to look for a different angle and view.
Personal tuition was really helpful at the different locations. All staff were open to working with us individually – in the classroom and in the field. Really appreciate the care given to make it the best experience for each of us, no matter what our level of experience.
As a widow travelling alone (with novice photography skills) my fears about fitting in or getting to know people were quickly dispelled. With Ken and Pam at the helm casting their net of friendship and drawing us in like a family, the time went far too quickly but oh so pleasantly.
Travelling to Africa with Ken and Pam was a truly magnificent experience I will treasure forever. The mixture of adventure, wild nature, creature comforts and old world pampering left me feeling I had experienced a true old world safari from a bygone era. As a women travelling alone I felt safe and at ease while capturing Africa’s animal kingdom and very thankful for Ken’s patient guidance and practical advice.
It was the most enjoyable and rewarding holiday experience I’ve been lucky enough to have. It was an extremely well organised and run tour with a great bunch of people with a similar love of photography and everyone was also willing to help and offer advice. As a beginner I felt I was learning throughout, both about getting the most out of my camera and how to frame and take some wonderful photographs, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to go on another tour.
