Your next stop for the afternoon will be to a secret location on private property. You will also have access to an incredible hut that only Charles knows – a beautiful high-country hut surrounded by large Poa tussocks. This will be your last stop for the afternoon. After sunset we will make our way to Crackenback to enjoy dinner and to prepare for the next day.

Lunch will be in the pub at Perisher, where you will be able to warm up and get some hot food. For the afternoon, you will travel back up the road to Guthega in search of some wildlife such as wombats in the snow, and to photograph more interesting scenes around Guthega Dam and the surrounding icy mountain streams.

In the morning, you will head up past Thredbo and into the famous Cascade Valley, home to the legend of the Silver Brumby and his descendants. Charlie will show you where he takes his international award-winning brumby photos and hopefully find you some brumbies. Other things of interest will be amazing snow gums, the headwaters of the Thredbo river and many ice formations. Lunch will be at Thredbo, just back down the road. After lunch you will travel back up the road and hike to the Ramshead for sunset. The Ramshead has many amazing scenes along the way with large granite rock formations overlooking the main range and the Cascade Valley.
