You can join Ken Duncan as part of a small group (max 12 guests) on a tour to discover the magnificent Okavango Delta in Botswana.
The Okavango Delta is one of Africa’s most sought-after destinations and we have chosen to visit in July, during the long dry season. This is when the wildlife is concentrated on the permanent water channels of the Okavango Delta, offering you unparalleled game viewing and photographic opportunities.
You will explore this magnificent wilderness from two exclusive tented camps, both deep within the Delta. One of these camps, Kwara, is on a private concession, so you will not encounter any vehicles other than our own. You will have exclusive access to all the wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo, giraffe, zebra, abundant bird life, and much more.
As a small, private group, we can set our own schedule in this water wonderland. To make the best use of light, we will usually set out early. Both areas allow us to go off-road and stay out until last light. In the heat of the day, you can relax around the camps if you want to.
We will use open 4WD vehicles, motorised boats, canoes (mokoros) and even a helicopter to get close to the big game and capture outstanding photos. At most, there will be 4 people to a vehicle so you are assured of always having a great view.
Throughout the tour, you will enjoy unlimited access to Ken Duncan. He is always willing to help you by answering any technical questions, so you can concentrate on capturing the decisive moments.
No matter how much photographic experience you have – or don’t have – you are assured of coming home with memories to last a lifetime and photos to thrill and inspire your family and friends.
Your every need will be met by your specialist tour leader, plus expert local guides and trackers. And as you will be in private tented camps, you are guaranteed an authentic safari experience. All your meals, drinks and even laundry are included in the tour price.
Your partner is welcome – photographer or not. And you will probably want to take advantage of at least one or two of the extensions arranged for before or after your Botswana tour. After all, if you’re travelling all the way to Africa, you want to make the most of your time there. There are several extensions to choose from, so you are sure to find something that suits you.
Straight after the main tour, Ken and Pam Duncan are going to Chobe National Park for 2 nights. Pangolin Boats, specially designed for wildlife photography, have been booked for this extension, to enable you to get really close to elephants and other wildlife as they come to the river to drink. There will be amazing photos up for grabs here.
Please note there will only be 6-8 places available for the Chobe extension, as there are so few Pangolin boats available. If you think you might like to join Ken and Pam on this tour extension, please call Patrick immediately for details on +61 2 6582 5082.
But even if you can’t decide on an extension, right away, please be sure to book early the main Botswana tour, as there are only 12 places available.

Comments from a few past Safari participants:
Thank you for a perfectly organised tour. The trip was stress free and a truly wonderful experience with so many highlights. The destinations were fascinating, the wildlife delightful, the accommodation exceeded expectations and the travelling companions were good fun. I really appreciated that it was a small group, as this allowed for more sharing of photographic experiences and knowledge.
It was an extremely well organised and run tour with a great bunch of people and everyone was willing to help and offer advice. As a beginner, I felt I was learning throughout, both about getting the most out of my camera, plus how to frame and take some wonderful photographs.
Thanks for an amazing expedition guys. I’m so glad I travelled half way around the world to join your photo safari. The food and accommodation were first rate all the way and the wildlife sightings were – quite simply – outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the group bonded and especially pleased that my first experience of sharing a room with a stranger worked out so well. But the highlight for me is the fact that I’ve come home with lots and lots of photos I’m really proud of. Thanks, Ken, for all your help with my camera when it played up and for all the photo tips and feedback along the way.
