Description
The northern shores of Norfolk Island are littered with sea stacks in distinctive shapes and sizes. It made me think God had fun creating here. He put a sculpture park in the sea to be enjoyed by all who visit this magical place. This formation, called Cathedral Rock, resembles a huge church, with doors open wide, inviting people to enter. I think it would be rather dangerous to enter this particular sanctuary unless you picked the right weather conditions. A local adventurer told me he had driven his jet ski through the tunnel that goes right through the rock. One very calm day, with the right tidal conditions, I would love to return to this towering cathedral – not to conquer, but to feel the sanctity of this place.
