About StoryShow +
While Dove Lake is blanketed in somnolent grey, a shaft of dawn sunlight kisses the jagged top of Cradle Mountain. Skirted by rock walls gouged out long ago by vast fields of ice, the lake is the northern starting point for the eighty kilometre Overland Track, which traverses the full length of Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. In an area that is overcast eight days out of ten, when you catch a shot like this you realise it’s a gift from heaven.
